Abstract

Details the efforts of the Bibliographic Search Lab for Sciences (BSLS), Furman University Library, South Carolina, in creating an end user searching front end and user interface for remote access, by students, to online and CD-ROM databases. Personal Bibliographic Software's Pro-Search for the Macintosh was chosen for the DIALOG front end and STN Express was chosen for use with chemistry and physics databases. The fact or remote access meant that particular attention was paid to security and accounting
