Abstract

Describes PICA in the Netherlands and its use in Leiden Univ. Library for cataloguing cartographic materials. Discusses the conflict between PICA and the CCK (used for the Dutch Union Map Catalogue), which are incompatible and cannot be amalgamated. Notes the present state of output from the automated system: still hard copy with online access a future development. Conversion of the records on PICA to the CCK is still a distant prospect
