Abstract

Der Beitrag informiert über die wichtigsten Ergebnisse einer umfangreichen empirischen Untersuchung zum Thema 'Informationsverhalten und -bedarf der Bielefelder Wirtschaft', die Anfang 1994 von der Stadtbibliothek Bielefeld durchgeführt wurde. Unterschiede in Verbreitung und Nutzungshäufigkeit einzelner Informations- und Kommunikationsmittel im Wirtschaftsraum, die unterschiedliche Bedeutung einzelner Literaturformen im prozeß der Informationsbeschaffung sowie die Berwertung der gegenwärtigen Informationsversorgung in den Unternehmen werden angesprochen. Interessant is es zu erfahren, aus welchen Sachgebieten Unternehmen Fachinformationen benötigen. Ansätze für eine kundenorientierte Bibliotheksarbeit bieten die aussagen der Unternehmen zu einem zuzkünftigen Bedarf an externen Informationsdienstleistungen, zu den Bedeutung ausgewählter Eigenschaften eines externen Informationsdienstleisters sowie zu Dauer und Häufigkeit einer möglichen Zusammenarbeit mit externen Informationsdienstleistern
