    Abstract
    Diese Handreichung soll als Einstieg für Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler, die mit digitalen Daten arbeiten, sowie für alle an dieser Thematik Interessierten dienen und bietet darüber hinaus Hinweise zu weiterführender Information. Sie wurde von der Arbeitsgruppe "Forschungsdaten" der Schwerpunktinitiative "Digitale Information" der Allianz der deutschen Wissenschaftsorganisationen verfasst. Mit dieser Publikation, die als Einstieg für Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler, die mit digitalen Daten arbeiten, sowie für alle an dieser Thematik Interessierten dienen soll, ergänzt die AG Forschungsdaten die Serie von Handreichungen zu den verschiedenen Themenfeldern der Schwerpunktinitiative "Digitale Information" der Allianz der deutschen Wissenschaftsorganisationen. Neben grundlegenden Hinweisen zum Forschungsdatenmanagement bietet sie Hinweise zu weiterführender Information. Online-Version unter der Creative-Commons-Lizenz "Namensnennung" (CC-BY).

    Abstract
    Wie schätzen die in Bildung und Wissenschaft Tätigen die bestehenden Urheberrechtsregelungen ein, und was erwarten sie von den politischen Instanzen für die auch jetzt wieder anstehenden Reformen des Urheberrechts? Dazu haben sich viele Institutionen mit vielen Papieren geäußert, aber kaum ist das empirisch breiter fundiert. Um es genauer zu wissen, hat das Aktionsbündnis die Initiative ergriffen und im Sommer mit Unterstützung des Deutschen Bibliotheksverbandes (dbv), der Allianz der deutschen Wissenschaftsorganisationen und der Union der deutschen Akademien der Wissenschaften eine Online-Fragebogenaktion auf den Weg gebracht.

    Zusammenfassung Das geplante DFG-Sonderprogramm bedeutet eine einmalige Chance für den Forschungsstandort Deutschland. Gefördert werden ausschließlich exzellente Projekte, die durch ihre nationale und internationale Ausstrahlung zum Ausbau der digitalen Informationsinfrastruktur für Wissenschaft und Forschung beitragen. Bereits jetzt können Anträge bei der DFG eingereicht werden. Bitte sprechen Sie rechtzeitig vor der Antragstellung die DFG-Geschäftsstelle an. Die bisherigen Förderangebote im Bereich der Wissenschaftlichen Informationssysteme werden unvermindert weitergeführt. Im Jahr 2006 standen hierfür regulär 30 Mio. Euro zur Verfügung (zuzüglich Sondermittel). Es sind keine Kürzungen dieses Ansatzes vorgesehen. Insbesondere für kleine und mittelgroße Einrichtungen bietet sich hier die Chance, Einzelanträge jenseits der eben beschriebenen Sonderfördermaßnahmen erfolgreich zu beantragen. Zur Umsetzung der Sonderfördermaßnahmen werden - vorbehaltlich der Zustimmung der zuständigen DFG-Gremien - ab dem Jahr 2008 zusätzliche Mittel in Höhe von 20 Mio. Euro zur Verfügung stehen. Das Gesamtbudget der für die Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Literaturversorgungs- und Informationssysteme zur Verfügung stehenden Mittel beträgt damit ab dem Jahr 2008 voraussichtlich regulär 50 Mio. Euro pro Jahr. Die DFG wird sich zudem im Rahmen der Allianz der deutschen Wissenschaftsorganisationen für eine gemeinschaftlich getragene Ausweitung dieses Ansatzes einsetzen.     Abstract
    Die Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek (DDB) will das gesamte kulturelle Erbe Deutschlands - Bücher, Bilder, Noten, Filme, Museumsobjekte - für alle Bürger digital zugänglich machen. Dazu sollen nicht weniger als 30000 Kultur- und Wissenschaftseinrichtungen im Land miteinander vernetzt werden. Ein gewaltiges Ziel - mit enormen Kosten und zahlreichen technischen Hürden. BuB-Redakteur Bernd Schleh hat mit dem Vorstandssprecher des Kompetenznetzwerks der DDB, Professor Hermann Parzinger, über Verheißungen und Probleme des Mega-Projekts gesprochen, dessen erste Inhalte schon in diesem Jahr frei zugänglich sein sollen.
