    Abstract
The employees of an organization often use a personal hierarchical classification scheme to organize digital documents that are stored on their own workstations. As this may make it hard for other employees to retrieve these documents, there is a risk that the organization will lose track of needed documentation. Furthermore, the inherent boundaries of such a hierarchical structure require making arbitrary decisions about which specific criteria the classification will b.e based on (for instance, the administrative activity or the document type, although a document can have several attributes and require classification in several classes).A faceted classification model to support corporate information organization is proposed. Partially based on Ranganathan's facets theory, this model aims not only to standardize the organization of digital documents, but also to simplify the management of a document throughout its life cycle for both individuals and organizations, while ensuring compliance to regulatory and policy requirements.

    Abstract
This paper provides rationale for considering precepts for an engaged knowledge organization based on a Buddhist conception of intentional action. Casting knowledge organization work as craft, this paper employs Zizek's conception of violence in language as a call to action. The paper closes with a listing of precepts for an engaged knowledge organization.

    Abstract
This paper reviews several knowledge organization techniques used in Computer Science, in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Databases and Software Engineering. Some of these computational mechanisms may assist in the organization and management of immense digital information resources. At the same time, the paper notes an increasing need for computer-based information systems to operate in open networked environments. This need requires knowledge organization principles, which are flexible and can be used with informally expressed knowledge. We expect to find such knowledge organization techniques in Library and Information Sciences, and hope to integrate them with the computational techniques described in this paper

    Abstract
The purpose of this paper is exploration of possibilities of knowledge organization (KO) approach to scientific publishing. Resulting research model of KO in publishing represents relations between data organization (DO), information organization (IO) and KO in cycle of scientific research process. The role and place of knowledge organization systems (KOS), meant as metadiscourse tools is underlined. It is close to Hjørland's broader sense of KO (Hjørland, 2008, 86), where it can be treated as a social activity aimed at assigning a specific organizational structure to some knowledge resources that facilitates users' access to the knowledge. This activity means, for example, the organization of information in the form of documents - scientific publications, artifacts of knowledge - in the process of codification of knowledge. Furthermore, it also includes the organization of documents in the society, their types, functions and methods of formation.

    Abstract
Classification plays a very important role in the traditional organization and manual retrieval of documents. The advantages of classification are becoming evident again in the networked environment, in the areas of online browsing, organization of non text information, management of hypertext, and as a common language for the organization of information, which will promote the integration of classification schemes and thesauri
