Abstract

In the last few years, CD-ROM has grown dramatically in importance as a medium for information of all kinds. Now electronic telephone directories on CD-ROM have gained attention as several products have appeared on the market in the USA over the past 2 or 3 years. CD-ROM telephone directories are attractive alternatives to print directories, offering money and soace savings. Discusses some of the chief considerations in selecting CD-ROM telephone directories, including geographic coverage, record elements and access points, ease of searching, printing and downloading options, and cost
