Abstract

Reports the 30th Allerton Institute, sponsored by the Graduate School of Library and Information Science of the University of Illinois with a supporting grant from the Council on Library Resources, at Champaign, Illinois, from 6-9 Nov 88. The theme was the 'Preservation of nonpaper materials' and the purposes of the conference were to identify issues and problems, to examine method and techniques used in care and preservation, to provide perspectives on research activities and future trends in nonbook preservation, to indicate the role of vendors and suppliers in the preservation process, and to suggest ways of utilising strategic planning in the preservation process.
