Abstract

Staatliche Institutionen, Forschungsgruppen und Universitäten, aber auch kommerzieller Unternehmen und Millionen privater PC-Nutzer sind Teilnehmer im 25 Jahre alten Netzverbund Internet. Die Rasanz, mit der gerade die Computerindustrie im Hard- und Softwarebereich neue Produkte entwickelt, läßt erahnen, wie sich Absatzmärkte künftig verschieben werden. Es stellt sich dabei die Frage, ob Unternehmen heute wendig genug sind, sich den veränderten Märkten von morgen anzupassen. Welche Rolle wird das Internet dabei spielen? Ist mit diesem Zusammenschluß unterscheidlichster Rechner und Netzwerke tatsächlich ein neues Vertriebsmedium geschaffen worden?
