Abstract

Presents a feature of information science implemented for the 1st time by the offer of Science Citation Index (SCI) on CD-ROM: the implementation of the so-called bibliographic linking in a commercial data base. Discusses the difference between cocitation linking and bibliographic linking, and illustrates the implementation within the SCI data base by means of an example.
