Abstract
Seit Jahren hat das Internet in der Wissenschaftswelt als Netzwerk für den Daten- und Informationsaustausch große Bedeutung. Auch Firmen erkennen inzwischen den Nutzen eines Anschlusses ans Internet. Parallel zum Wachstum des Internet entstand ein sehr großes Informationsangebot, wodurch dem Benutzer die Auswahl der für ihn relevanten Information erschwert wurde. Das Buch bietet eine praxisorientierte Einführung ins Internet und seine wichtigsten nationalen und internationalen Dienste. Beispielsitzungen erläutern deren wesentliche Aspekte. Es eignet sich als Nachschlagewerk, aber auch als Informationsquelle über aktuelle Entwicklungen im Internet
