Abstract

Die Deutsche Telekom und Bundesforschungsminister Rüttgers wollen Deutschlands Schülern den Umgang mit Computern und modernen Kommunikationsnetzen schmackhaft machen. Gemeinsam haben sie am Donnerstag die Initiative 'Schulen ans Netz' gestartet. Innerhalb von 3 Jahren sollen 10.000 der bestehenden 35.000 Schulen an leistungsstarke Datennetze angeschlossen werden. Die Telekom unterstützt das Projekt mit Sach- und Geldmitteln in Höhe von 36 Mio Mark. Rüttgers schießt 23 Mio zu. In einzelnen Bundesländern laufende Initiativen betrachtet Rüttgers nicht als 'Konkurrenzveranstaltung'. Auf engen Kontakt zur KMK legt der Minister keinen Wert.
