Discusses the value of Internet access to small town and rural communities in the USA, particularly in Nebraska. Describes the various options available to individuals and small organizations such as schools for acquiring Internet access and the costs involved in these. Stresses the need for individuals in local communities to take a lead in ensuring the wider availability of Internet access so that their communities can reap the benefits of it
