Abstract

Die Verschlüsselung von Nachrichten, die Kryptographie, ist die einzige Möglichkeit vertraulicher elektronischer Kommunikation. Ihre Nutzung wird duch Militärs und Geheimdienste behindert. Dies ist der Kern der derzeitigen Debatte um Kryptographie. Während der Nutzen kryptographischer Verfahren offensichtlich ist, bleibt die Rolle staatlicher Stellen vage. Wilde Vermutungen über Aktivitäten des Gesetzgebers und der Exekutive schießen ins Kraut. Die Rolle der Militärs und ihrer Interessen beleuchtet der folgende Beitrag
