Abstract
Das Informationsmanagement großer Datenmengen ist zu einem Schlüsselproblem moderner Kommunikations- und Informationstechnologien im WWW geworden. Grafische Oberflächen haben sich längst zum Internetstandard für die Informationssuche in WWW-Datenbanken etabliert. Die Navigation in abstrakten Informationsräumen und virtuellen Informationslandschaften könnte schon bald den traditionellen textorientierten Nutzerdialog verdrängen. Der Prototyp Knowledge Browser zeigt wie interaktive VRML-basierte Retrievaloberflächen der nächsten Generation aussehen können
