Abstract

In 1995 Community Development Foundation established with IBM UK a national working party on social inclusion in the information society, known as INSINC. Its brief was to examine the impact of new information technology on local communities, and the potential for greater social inclusion of people in communities within the information society. Considers the different notions of the information society that appears in its interim report focusing on the changing nature of the dominant information culture
