Abstract

With increased use of computer technology, there has been a corresponding growth of documentary bibliographic centres. These centres produce standard information in UNIMARC. Automated autority data are presented in a structure corresponding to ISO 2709. Offers basic information about authority data. Discusses the creation of autortiy databases; the development of the Russian Book Chamber Authority Database; software; data support; and hardware
