Abstract

The papers serve to highlight a number of important issues that the technological advance raise, including: Can we develop a theory of knowledge organization that supports effective searching through large information sources? - Can we effectively support the creation of large-scale databases that use such organizational principles? - Can we develop interfaces to help explore these knowledge structures more effectively, using vizualization and abstraction tools?
