Abstract
Describes the project, undertaken at the Cadet Hand Library (CHL), Bodega Marine Laboratory (BML), California University at Davis to convert the CHL Library and other BML catalogues into a format searchable via WWW. Focuses on the use of Best WebPro software, designed to create Web searchable versions of local databases, to create a WWW searchable version of the catalogues. Describes the setting up of the Best WebPro databases, their specific searching capabilities, and details of the 6 specific databases converted (Catalogue, Students reports, GBALC serials, Publications, Telephone directory, Tide tables) with data (in MBytes) for: original file size; Best WebPro file size; Index size and number of indexes; and total size
