Abstract

Der Autor gibt eine Begründung der Notwendigkeit und eine Darstellung des Schemas zur Ableitung fachspezifischer Indexierregeln, ausgehend von statistischen Untersuchungen zur Häufigkeitsverteilung verschiedener Kategorien des Informationsaufkommens und verschiedener Typen von Veröffentlichungen auf dem untersuchten Fachgebiet. Er nennt Voraussetzungen, die erfüllt werden müssen, bevor das an einigen Beispielen aus dem Fachgebiet Schiffbau dargestellte Schema als allgemeingültig angesehen werden kann. Beispiele fachspezifischer Indexierregeln für Erzeugnisbeschreibungen werden angeführt
