Abstract

Offers a personal view of the 21st or latest revision of the DDC which was implemented by the Library of Congress in Sep 96 and the British Library in Dec 96. Draws attention to the overriding characteristics of Dewey 21, increased user convenience with simplification of notes, improvement of headings and better guidance in the manual. Discusses the major revisions and the creation of new schedules
