Abstract
Counters the growing feeling that organizations can avoid employing information professionals by connecting their users to the Internet and WWW. Suggests that there is a strong case for retaining and even expanding the employment of professional data managers and information providers who will locate and prepare data for those regularly applying it. Only by employing information professionals in this area will future educational and business institutions be able to access economically the fast growing and ever changing world of modern information
