Abstract

Examines the implications of the need to reclassify collections following changes to classification schedules. Focuses on the experiences of the Johnson County Library, Kansas, USA. Changes to DDC classification of computer materials led to reclassification, and relabelling of existing materials. The decision on recataloguing a federal document depository collection, and the Urban Ref collection, which consists of document from department of Johnson County government and other municipalities within county boundaries, ist still to be made
