Abstract

Reviews multimedia encyclopaedias from Grolier Interactive and IBM. The Grolier Interactive Multimedia Encyclopedia 1998 is to be released as a 2 dsic de luxe edition and a 1 disc edition. As well as increased picture and text content, the deluxe version offers online access to the more scholarly Encyclopaedia Americana and 21.000 links to Web sites. The IBM World Book 1998 Multimedia Encyclopaedia de luxe edition is currently available and includes increased interactive multimedia features, more efficient searching and instant Internet access to World Book archives. It also features a homework tool kit
