Abstract

Die klassifikatorische Erschließung alter Drucke spielt in der theoretischen Diskussion und auch in der Praxis gegenwärtig keine Rolle, obwohl einige Bibliotheken mit allgemeinen und spezialisierten Altbeständen diese Bücher katalogisiert haben oder katalogisieren. Der Beitrag erörtert die Probleme der Systematisierung alter Drucke vor allem am Beispiel der Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel; dabei steht die Differenzierung der Terminologie im Mittelpunkt
