Abstract

Die Diskussion über Arbeit reduziert sich nicht nur auf das gravierende Problem Erwerbslosigkeit, es werden auch immer wieder Möglichkeiten für eine humanere Gestaltung der Produktionsabläufe erörtert. Der Autor untersucht in dem Buch 'Naturwissenschaftliche Weltbilder in Managementtheorien' (Campus Verlag), welche geistesgeschichtlichen Einflüsse die Arbeitsorganisation über die Jahrhunderte geprägt haben. Die mechanistische Weltsicht der klassischen Naturwissenschaften beeinflußte demnach das tayloristische Rationalisierungsmodell, während jüngere Managementmodelle Verbindungen zu neueren Theorien wie Selbstorganisation und Chaostheorie aufweisen
