Abstract
Die neustes Spielart von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) ist die Agententheorie. Mit vielen autonomen, aber interagierenden Computerprogrammen (Agenten) lassen sich nicht nur Internet-Geschäfte abwickeln, sondern auch die Entwicklungen von Börsenkursen studieren. James E. Doran, seit anfang der 60er Jahre KI-Experte an der Universität Edinburgh lehrt heute an der Universität von Essex in Colchester und ist einer der führenden Agententheoretiker. Sein Spezialgebiet ist die 'Sozionik', die gesellschaftliche Vorgänge mit hilfe von Multiagentenprogrammen simuliert. Auf der Agents World im sommer in Paris provozierte Doran das Fachpublikum mit 3 Thesen, die er 'Crazy ideas' nannte, führte aber die letzte nicht näher aus. Grund: Er müsse den Sommer über genauer darüber nachdenken. Jetzt ist der Sommer vorbei und auch die dritte Crazy idea zu ende gebracht
