Abstract

Introduces Karl Popper's theory of 'three worlds' and its influence on the theoretical stufy of information science. Presents a critical evaluation of the introduction of this theory into the field of information science by B.C. Brookes, highlighting both some of the reasonable and also the inadequate aspects. Despite the problems, suggests both authors can be regarded as providing beneficial expereince for the development of information science
