The UK government White Paper 'Your right to know' was published in Dec 1997 with a public consultation period for comments up until Feb 1998. Those public organizations affected by the forthcoming legislation will now need to work quickly to comply with the requirements. Spells out the key points of the proposals and presents a personal view on the particular requirements and implications for records managers and archivists
