Abstract
In den vergangenen Jahren hat die Bereitstellung und Verwendung von Information in unserer Gesellschaft einen immer höheren Stellenwert erlangt. Die professionelle Informationsbeschaffung und -verarbeitung ist unverzichtbarer Bestandteil des gesellschaftlichen Lebens. Angesichts von Informationsüberfluß bei gleichzeitigem Informationsmangel ist es für die Informationswirtschaft unerläßlich, sich intensiv mit Fragen des Qualitätsmanagement ihrer Dienstleistungen auseinanderzusetzen, weil sowohl die Qualität als auch der individuelle Nutzen der zur Verfügung stehenden Informationen an Bedeutung gewonnen haben und so neue Anforderungen an das Qualitäsmanagementsystem eines Informationsdienstleisters stellen
