Abstract

Suchmaschinen und Web-Verzeichnisse sind gängige Einstiege für Suchen im Internet. Durch die unterschiedlichen Auswahlkriterien, Suchmöglichkeiten und Schwerpunkte der verschiedenen Anbieter unterscheiden sich jedoch die Suchergebnisse erheblich in Umfang und Inhalt. ChemGuide und PublishersGuide sind Suchmaschinen, die thematisch vorausgewählte Internet-Server im Volltext durchsuchen. Eine einfach zu bedienende Benutzeroberfläche in Verbindung mit vielseitigen Suchfunktionen verbessern die Qualität der Suchergebnisse erheblich. Gefundene Seiten können innerhalb der Suchmaschine betrachtet werden, die gefundenen Suchbegriffe werden im Dokument markiert
