Abstract

Wenn wir als Informationsspezialisten Daten erschließen, etwa Bücher in den Bibliotheken systematisieren, stützen wir uns in der Regel auf bewährte Klassifikationen als Ordnungen des Wissens. Im Kontext alltagsorientierter Informationsbereitstellung z.B. der Öffentlichen Bibliotheken wurde dies schon vor längerer Zeit als unbefriedigend erkannt. Die Entwicklung von Interessenkreisen oder die Konzeption der Kabinette in der Stadtbibliothek Paderborn sind Reaktionen darauf Grundsätzlich begegnen wir demselben Problem bei der Erschließung von derartigen Informationen für die Präsentation im World Wide Web. Die Übertragung etablierter Lösungen auf die Organisation der Informationen im WWW erweist sich als unzureichend in Bezug auf das Auffinden der Informationen durch den Endnutzer. Will man Nutzerorientierung ernst nehmen, sollte man bestrebt sein, bereits in den Gestaltungsprozess des Informationszugriffs Nutzer einzubeziehen. Es sollen Methoden diskutiert werden, mit denen vor allem bei der Erstellung klassifikatorischer Zugriffe bzw. bei der Verbesserung installierter Angebote im WWW Nutzerbedürfnisse und -verhalten berücksichtigt werden können
