Abstract
Die Arbeit an theoriefähigen hypermedialen Systemen geht von zwei Prämissen aus: der Abhängigkeit der Kommunikation von Materialität und Dominanz technischer Systeme zur Erzeugung, Repräsentation und Nutzung von Komplexität. Wenn anerkannt wird, dass die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen medialer Repräsentation der Theorieentwicklung nicht äußerlich bleiben, so kann in der Interaktion mit digitalen Medien originäre Wissensproduktion erwartet werden. Kognitive Leistungen hängen hier überwiegend von gestaltungsrelevanten Parametern ab, wodurch sich bisheriges Wissensmanagement erweitert zu Wissensdesign
