Abstract: Aufgrund des lokalen Vertrages mit dem Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst wird nunmehr im Land Baden-Württemberg bei 32 Bibliotheken HORIZON eingesetzt. Die weitere Nutzung im gesamten Geschäftsgang ist geplant, darüber hinaus sollen noch in diesem Jahr die Verbundanforderungen erfüllt werden. Ein Baustein dazu ist das im April übergebene WebPac/ Z39.50-Tool. Insgesamt betreut die Dynix GmbH aktuell in Europa 158 HORIZON-Installationen, davon 84 im deutschsprachigen Europa, 5 in Skandinavien, 2 in den Benelux-Ländern, 3 in Ungarn, 50 in Polen und 14 im restlichen Europa. Etwa 300 Bibliotheken arbeiten in Europa mit HORIZON, die mit dem Dynix-Partner epixtech aus den USA von London und Paris aus supportet werden. Seit Anfang 2001 verfügt die Dynix GmbH über die Source Codes von allen epixtech-Produkten und den damit verbundenen Rechten.
