Abstract

Der Wissenschaftsrat hat in seiner Juli-Sitzung 2001 "Empfehlungen zur digitalen Informationsversorgung durch Hochschulbibliotheken" verabschiedet. Der Wissenschaftsrat folgt dabei seiner Tradition, hochschulpolitische Themen aufzugreifen, die dringenden Handlungsbedarf aufweisen, aber bei den beteiligten Institutionen nicht genügend Beachtung finden. Nach meiner Einschätzung macht der Wissenschaftsrat hier Vorschläge, die zu einer nachhaltigen Veränderung der wissenschaftlichen Informationslandschaft führen können. In meinem kurzen Kommentar zu diesem Papier möchte ich auf einige dieser Anregungen hinweisen
