Abstract
Im Jahre 1977 entstand in der damaligen AIBM-Katalogkommission / Subkommission für Klassifikation in maschinenschriftlicher Form ein Thesaurus der Musikalischen Form- und Gattungsnamen. Die Mitgliederversammlung der AIBM-Gruppe Bundesrepublik Deutschland stimmte 1996 dem Vorschlag des Vorstandes zu, diesen in einer leicht erweiterten Ausgabe herauszugeben. Nun wurden Begriffe zusätzlich aufgenommen, die in den Musikabteilungen der Berliner Stadtbibliothek, der Münchner Städtischen Bibliotheken und im Deutschen Musikarchiv angewendet werden. Die hinzugefügten Begriffe sind leicht erkennbar, da sie keine Zusatzinformationen wie Zeitangaben und Sprachbezeichnungen haben. Dieser und der 'Thesaurus zur Erschließung von Musik nach Anlaß, Zweck und Inhalt (Bearb. Klaus Schneider. 2., erw. u. überarb. Aufl. Berlin: DBI 1994) können bei der Anwendung der RSWK-Musik ein wichtiges Hilfsmittel zur Schlagwortvergabe sein
