Abstract
Anwendung und Nutzen, aber auch Probleme des Umgangs mit dem Internet in Öffentlichen Bibliotheken bilden den Inhalt der Referate, die bei einem dreitägigen Seminar in der Nähe Göttingen gehalten wurden und in diesem Band veröffentlicht werden. Hardware- und softwaretechnische Aspekte, juristische, organisatorische und gestalterische Gesichtspunkte sowie Aspekte der Erschließung des Internets wurden in Vorträgen fundiert dargelegt. Mittelpunkt bilden bibliothekarische Fragestellungen im Hinblick auf das Internet als Informationsspeicher und als Arbeitsmedium für die Bibliothek
