Abstract
Nach einem Wort Vilem Flussers kommt der Theorie der Kommunikation jene Rolle zu, die früher die Philosophie spielte. Jedoch greifen die Medien in unsere Kommunikationsgesellschaft wesentlich weiter in den Vergesellschaftungsprozess ein, als es philosophische Texte jemals konnten. Der Autor versucht dennoch, verschiedene Aspekte der philosophischen Moderne im Hinblick auf ihre Reflexionspotential der gesellschaftlichen Funktion von Sprache, Texte, Medien zu rekonstruieren. Historisch bedeutsame Positionen der Erkenntnistheorie und Erkenntniskritik soeiwe der Sprachphilosophie und Sprachkritik werden ausführlich dargestellt
