Abstract
Das Werk führt schrittweise und leicht verständlich in die Online-recherche ein und spricht damit auch den weniger internet- und computererfahrenen Leser an. Dem ideellen Ziel des Internet folgend - uneingeschränkten Informationszugang zu bieten - konzentriert sich der autor auf frei zugängliche bibliographische Datenbanken. Nach einer knappen erläuternden Einführung in die Begriffe Internet, WWW und Netscape wird zunächst ausführlich auf Suchvorgänge und -möglichkeiten via Suchmaschinen im Internet eingegangen. Die mitgelieferte Diskette enthält den wesentlichen Inhalt des Buches im HTM-Format. Über Hyperlinkverweise erhält man schnellen Zugang zu allen im Buch angegebenen Internetadressen. Zusätzlich bietet die Diskette eine Zusammenstellung von ca. 160 kostenlos im Internet zugänglichen bibliographischen Datenbanken
