Abstract
Die Frankfurter Buchmesse (8. bis 13. Ok-tober 2003) steht für ein jährliches und weltweit beachtetes Medienevent. Die DGI (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Informa-tionswissenschaft und Informationspraxis) lud am 10. Oktober 2003 zu einem Special Interest Forum "Jenseits von Google - Wissens- und Informationslösungen im Vergleich". In ihrer Begrüßungsrede betonte die DGI-Präsidentin Dr. Gabriele Beger die Rolle der Kunden. Bekannte Informationsdienstleister präsentierten ihre Lösungen. Den Hauptvortrag, der hier in überarbeiteter Fassung vorliegt, hielt der Autor.
