Abstract
BOND: Mit WebGate von BOND können Bibliotheken jetzt einfach und unkompliziert Verbünde realisieren. Die Metasuch-Funktion macht verschiedenste Medienkataloge und Datenquellen im Internet gleichzeitig durchsuchbar und bietet dem Leser ein unglaubliches Suchergebnis. Von attraktiven und viel genutzten Bibliotheken erwarten die Benutzer individuelle und bedarfsgerechte Services und Online-Zugriff auf hochwertige und sichere Informationen - rund um die Uhr. Ein solch qualifiziertes Angebot können Bibliotheken bieten, indem Sie regionale Bibliotheksverbünde anstreben. Die attraktive Lösung, die die hohen Anforderungen der Leser jetzt und in Zukunft erfüllt, ist die Metasuche in der Digitalen Bibliothek (DigiBib des HBZ) mit WebGate von BOND. Was bedeutet Meta-Suche? Bei der Metasuche in der Digitalen Bibliothek wird eine Suchanfrage des Lesers gleichzeitig an mehrere Suchdienste weitergeleitet. So werden die Suchergebnisse aus verschiedenen Bibliothekskatalogen, Volltexten, Wissensdatenbanken etc. gesammelt, aufbereitet und nach Relevanz aufgelistet. Der Leser erhält benötigte Informationen in Fülle und benutzerfreundlich aufbereitet. Er kann Selbstbedienungsfunktionen nutzen (vorbestellen, verlängern, etc.) und ortsunabhängig die Fernleihe auslösen. Durch WebGate von BOND können Bibliotheken Ihren eigenen Bibliotheksverbund innerhalb der Digibib bilden. WebGate ist eine spezielle Sicht der Digibib, in der ein Verbund die Medienkataloge der Verbundsbibliotheken zur Verfügung stellt, die dann über die Metasuche gleichzeitig durchsucht werden. So können Bibliotheken ganz einfach und unkompliziert beliebige Bibliotheksverbünde (kommunal, regional, überregional, etc.) realisieren. Und zusätzlich wählen die Bibliotheken aus dem umfassenden Informationsangebot der Digibib diejenigen Informationsquellen (Datenbanken, Volltexte etc.) aus, die ebenfalls über WebGate in die Metasuche mit eingebunden werden sollen. Durch die benutzerorientierten, qualifizierten Suchergebnisse von WebGate profitieren die kooperierenden Bibliotheken von einem deutlichen Imagegewinn und steigenden Ausleih- und Benutzerzahlen.
