Abstract
Knowledge Management zählt heutzutage zu den ebenso plausiblen wie ausgereiften Managementmethoden. Der Akzent verschiebt sich jedoch von der Technologielösung hin zu einem ganzheitlichen Verständnis von der Rolle des Wissensarbeiters in der Wissensorganisation. Aufbau und Gestaltung eines funktionierenden Knowledge Management Systems setzt beim Menschen an, die technischen Rahmenbedingungen sind von nachrangiger Bedeutung. Wissensmanagement in der globalen Wirtschaft muss von einem systemischen Ansatz her betrachtet und zugleich auf die Bedingungen des Individuums bezogen werden. Die technologischen Hilfsmittel sind vorhanden - aber sind wir bereit, ihre Möglichkeiten auszuloten und zu benutzen? Ein tiefgreifender kultureller Wandel steht den meisten Organisationen erst noch bevor.
