Das Buch dokumentiert die Resultate einer interdisziplinären Projektgruppe an der Universität Salzburg, welche sich die systematische Erforschung von Koexistenzformen und Kooperationsmöglichkeiten rivalisierender Paradigmen zum Ziel gesetzt hat. Die Beiträge behandeln u.a. die folgenden Themen: Koexistenzweisen rivalisierender Paradigmen. Eine begriffserklärende und problemtypologisierende Studie Rivalisierende Paradigmen im Fach Geographie Paradigmen: Konkurrenz in der Wissenschaft - Komplementarität im Alltagshandeln? Überlegungen zum Theorie-Praxis-Bezug in der Erziehungswissenschaft Paradigmen bei Planerstellungsmethoden in der Künstlichen Intelligenz Paradigmenkonkurrenz in den Rechtswissenschaften am Beispiel des Verhältnisses von Rechtsdogmatik und Rechtssoziologie. - Umschlagtext: Gemäß der weithin anerkannten These Thomas Kuhns sind wissenschaftliche Disziplinen durch die Vorherrschaft eines Paradigmas gekennzeichnet, welches in einer "revolutionären Phase" durch ein anderes abgelöst wird. Tatsächlich findet man jedoch in den meisten wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen eine langfristige Koexistenz von rivalisierenden Paradigmen vor. Diese gehen zwar historisch wechselnde Konstellationen ein, zu einer "Ablöse" im Sinne von Kuhn kommt es jedoch nicht
