Abstract
In der Welt des Frieder Nake brauchen wir keine Kunst - und Netzkunst schon gar nicht. Denn die ist in den Augen des Computerkünstlers nur für Leute gemacht, die zu viel Zeit haben. Dass er trotzdem kein Kulturpessimist ist, zeigt sein gedanklicher Streifzug durch die rasante Geschichte der digitalen Ästhetik. Frieder Nake ist Professor für Grafische Datenverarbeitung und interaktive Systeme an der Universität Bremen. 1965 hatte er seine erste Ausstellung mit computergenerierten Arbeiten. Fünf Jahre später nahm er an der 35. Biennale in Venedig teil.
