Abstract

An der UB TU Wien existiert seit den 1920er Jahren eine umfangreiche Sammlung von Sonderdrucken der Universitätsangehörigen. Diese wurde nicht systematisch angelegt, sondern entstand durch freiwillige Mitarbeit der Institutsangehörigen, die die Sonderdrucke an die Bibliothek weitergaben. Die Sammlung umfasst etwa 20.000 Sonderdrucke, die in einer eigenen Kartei verzeichnet wurden. Bibliotheksbenutzer finden im Nominalkatalog der Bibliothek nur einen Sammeleintrag unter dem Namen des Autors. Seit der Einführung eines EDV-gestützten Bibliothekskatalogs und dem damit verbundenen Abbruch des Kartenkatalogs wurde mehrfach versucht, die einzelnen Sonderdrucke in unseren Online-Katalog zu integrieren. Mit der Einführung des Bibliothekssystems Aleph 500 im Jahr 1999 wurde mit der Katalogisierung der aktuellen Sonderdrucke begonnen - sie sind nun im Gesamtkatalog und im Katalog der UB TU Wien nachgewiesen. Auf diese Weise entstanden zwischen 1999 und 2004 etwa 4.000 Einträge von Sonderdrucken, die von unseren Bibliotheksbenutzern häufig nachgefragt und zur Lesesaalbenutzung bestellt werden.
