Abstract
Der zunehmende Trend zum elektronischen Publizieren im Internet insbesondere im Kontext des Austauschs und der Publikation wissenschaftlicher Information ist unübersehbar. Insofern wird die Beantwortung der Frage zunehmend bedeutsam, wie die Bibliotheken, die über das Pflichtexemplarrecht ihrer jeweiligen Region verfügen und in besonderem Maße gefordert sind, dieses Material zu sammeln, zu erschließen und zu archivieren, vorgehen wollen. Angesichts der Dimension der Aufgabe liegt es nahe, in allen Teilaufgabenbereichen kooperativ und arbeitsteilig vorzugehen. Dieser Beitrag konzentriert sich dabei ausgehend von den Aktivitäten einer von der Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Regionalbibliotheken in der Sektion 4 des Deutschen Bibliotheksverbandes (DBV) und Der Deutschen Bibliothek initiierten Arbeitsgruppe auf eine wichtige Voraussetzung, nämlich die technische Abstimmung und Vorbereitung des Austauschs relevanter Metadaten und Objekte in definierter und nachnutzbarer Form.
