Abstract

Während des diesjährigen deutschen Bibliothekartages in Düsseldorf vereinbarten Vertreter Der Deutschen Bibliothek und der Internetenzyklopädie Wikipedia eine Kooperation, die die Verlinkung von Personenartikeln in Wikipedia mit den Personensätzen der überregionalen Personennamendatei (PND) zum Ziel hat. Die Verlinkung ermöglicht den Informationssuchenden zunächst unmittelbar den komfortablen direkten Zugang zum Onlinekatalog Der Deutschen Bibliothek mit den Nachweisen der Publikationen von und über die betreffende Person. Über die PND wird die Onlineenzyklopädie Wikipedia mit dem Onlineangebot der Deutschen Nationalbibliografie und dem dahinter stehenden Literaturbestand verbunden.
