Abstract

Nur wenig stimuliert unser Nachdenken über das Selbst und das Bewußtsein, über Körper, Gehirn und Seele so stark wie die durchaus realistische Möglichkeit, eines nicht mehr so fernen Tages Brain-Chips mit Bewußtsein und Klonen aus der Retorte zu begegnen. Doch während die einen die Vorstellung vom menschengleich denkenden Computer begeistert, fürchten die anderen nichts mehr als den Klon, den Doppelgänger. So beginnen wir also, uns neu zu erkunden, zu fragen, wie der Körper sein Ich entwirft und in diesem Prozeß gleichzeitig die Eigenschaften seines Gehirns realisiert. Detlef Linkes Buch ist der ebenso überraschende wie anregende Versuch, der Beantwortung der Frage nach dem «Ich» und seiner Einbettung in die Welt ein wenig näher zu kommen.
