Abstract

Wenn wir über Wissen, Wissensproduktion, Wissensdiffusion sprechen, betrifft dies in erster Linie, so wir im Rahmen wissenschaftlichen Wissens denken, den Auf- Aus- und Neubau wissenschaftlichen Wissens. Einmal ist dies in Form von additivem Wissen, das sich durch Reproduktion von bereits bestehendem Wissen zu methodischen Zwecken (Lehre) vollzieht, und zum zweiten erkenntnistheoretisch geleitetes Wissen, wie es durch härte und weiche Erhebungen im Labor oder Feld, breit angelegte Studien, selbstreferentielle Reflexionen und dergleichen erfolgt. Vor allem die empirisch erschlossenen Ergebnisse aus dem Labor oder den Feldforschungen zeichnen sich durch einen aufwändigen Verlaufsprozess aus, der nicht nur in den Vorbereitungen intensiv ist, sondern auch den Anspruch erhebt, neues, wahres und eigentliches Wissen zu schaffen. Auf diese Weise gewonnenes Wissen wird erfahrungsgemäß eher gesellschaftspolitisch nobilitiert, weil es innerhalb des Rahmens einer Messtheorie erfolgt und daher leichter nachvollziehbar wird. Nun haben wir innerhalb der Wissenslandschaften, und hier vor allem im kultur- oder geisteswissenschaftlichen Bereich, auch nicht messbare Einheiten, beziehungsweise anders messbare Einheiten, die sich nicht so leicht taxieren lassen. Allen beiden Bereichen jedoch ist der Wunsch nach der Vollbringung der hegelschen "Idee als reines Wissen" unterlegt. Warum wir nun gerade aus diesem Grund von chiasmatischem Wissen sprechen müssen, will hier erörtert werden. Von chiasmatischem Wissen sprechen wir, wenn wir ein crossover in der Wissensproduktion vorfinden und auch dann, wenn dieses Wissen sowohl These als auch Antithese beherbergt. Damit ist ein Bezugsystem angedeutet, dessen Gefüge mehrschichtig, oder genauer von mehrliniger Struktur von Wissenschaft ist. Wir haben es folglich mit mindesten zwei Wissensebenen zu tun: da ist zum einen das Wissen erster Ordnung. Damit ist wissenschaftliches Wissen gemeint. Und weiters das Wissen zweiter Ordnung. Damit ist jenes Wissen angesprochen, das aus dem Informationismus resultiert. Das Wissen erster Ordnung ist erkenntnisgeleitetes Wissen und entsteht innerhalb wissenschaftlicher Institutionen, ist also so genanntes Fachwissen. Das Wissen zweiter Ordnung speist sich aus Ersterem, verselbständigt sich aber über den Weg der Medien beziehungsweise der Vervielfältigung und ist bestenfalls von Übertragung zu Übertragung bloß strukturgleich. Die Struktur bildet quasi eine Art "Vorwissen", das demokratisch verfügbar ist. Über diese bloße Struktur hinaus entwickelt sich Wissen selbstständig. Diese Autonomisierung von Wissen ist nicht erkenntnisgeleitet, sie steht in Diensten der Popularisierung und macht oftmals mehrere Schritte der Übersetzung vom Wissenschaftlichen ins Populäre durch (und verengt dadurch den Spalt zwischen Wissen und Meinen, zwischen Wahrheit und Irrtum).
