Abstract

Die Suche nach neuen Trends und Entwicklungen in der Unternehmensumwelt bildet einen wesentlichen Erfolgsfaktor in der Competitive Intelligence (CI). Die Anforderungen an den Manager zur Erfüllung dieser Aufgabe sind allerdings hoch: Eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Themenfeldern und Quellen muss in die Analyse miteinbezogen werden, um ein aussagekräftiges Bild über die Unternehmensumwelt zu erhalten. Dies ist vor allem im Hinblick auf die beschränkte Zeit und Informationsverarbeitungskapazitäten, die dem Manager zur Verfügung stehen, in der Regel nicht möglich. Dieser Beitrag strukturiert die interne und externe Unternehmensumwelt und definiert drei Aufgabenfelder der Informationssuche und skizziert die damit verbundenen Problemstellungen. Verschiedene Technologien, die in Form von prototypischen Systemen eine Unterstützung bei der Informationssuche, -bewertung und -aufbereitung liefern, werden auf Basis dieser Aufgabenbeschreibungen diskutiert und eingeordnet. Damit ermöglicht dieser Beitrag einen Überblick über den State-of-the-Art computergestützter Systeme für unterschiedliche CI-Herausforderungen.
