Abstract

Werner Faulstichs Geschichte der Medien ist der komprimierte Ertrag langjähriger Forschungsarbeit. Bei diesem Projekt wurden erstmals Tausende von Teilstudien zu den verschiedensten Aspekten der Mediengeschichte recherchiert, geprüft, selektiert, gebündelt, gewichtet und zu einem systematischen, umfassenden Überblick integriert. So entstand eine in dieser Form einzigartige Zusammenschau. Beide Bände sind didaktisch durchgearbeitet und können sowohl einzeln als auch im Verbund genutzt werden. Sie richten sich an Studierende der Medienwissenschaften sowie an alle, die sich einen fundierten Überblick über die Geschichte der Medien verschaffen wollen.
